Born in Singapore, raised in Switzerland and China, Monica is now based in New York City where she teaches User Experience (UX) at Pratt Institute’s School of Design. Previously, Monica conducted research on the learning sciences and K-12 education technology in the US and Singapore, which included exploring ways to incorporate AI into Singapore’s education system.

Nashin is a sustainable technology expert, who grew up in Indonesia and has worked across Asia, the US and Canada. She is Director of Yayasan Peta Bencana (Disaster Map Foundation) in Indonesia and Founding Director of the International Climate Emergency Software Alliance (CESA), developing humanitarian technologies for community-led climate adaptation. Her work started in Indonesia and is now in seven countries and continuing to expand, serving over 400 million people.
